THE NEXT PHASE - - IN CONTAINING ARAB SUNNI REVANCHISM: THE SAUDI RULING ELITE

D R A F T

IMPORTANT: AT BOTTOM OF POST, READ THE LYRICS OF SAAD AL-HARIRI'S SONG

Revanchism: a usually political policy designed to recover lost territory or status. (Merriam-Webster.)

(NOTE: you may want to add what follows to the reasons I already gave in prior posts to explain the Saudi rapprochement with Arab Syria. I refer to the “Saudi ruling elite” and not to Saudi Arabia because I have no doubt whatsoever that the Saudi public is Arab to the bone. That public would not have condoned even Saudi silence towards the invasion and dismemberment of Arab Iraq, let alone collusion by the Saudi ruling elite in that invasion. So, there’s a disconnect in Saudi Arabia, as there is in other Arab countries, between the policies of the ruling elite and the wishes of the public.)

D r a f t

THE KISS-ON-THE-CHEEK: THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH JUDAS, THE FIRST INFORMANT. IT HAD EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THWARTING ARAB SUNNI REVANCHISM AGAINST THE SAUDI RULING ELITE.

So many didn’t like it. They were bewildered, even disgusted, by the fact that Saudi Arabia had forced Saad al-Hariri to trek to Damascus and kiss Bashar al-Asad on the cheek.

What’s there to be bewildered about? I ask.

Saad’s kissing Bashar is part of the new policy by the Saudi ruling elite to “lam al-shaml” - - to collect the [Arab] parts, the Arab people. To re-gather them after they had gone disparate. It’s an indirect reference to the falling out, which had taken place during the American-Israeli dismemberment of Arab Iraq, among the ruling elites of Saudi Arabia and Egypt in one camp, and Syria in another

But that nomenclature (“lam al-shaml”) conceals one important motivating factor for the Saudi ruling elite. That elite is into neutralizing the revanchism against it of the Arab Sunnis of Iraq and would hope that that revanchism doesn’t spread to the wider Arab Sunni public. That Arab public is disgusted with the Saudi ruling elite. It had watched that elite partner up with the Israel-Anchored Harmful Idiots to dismember an Arab country and disenfranchise its Arab Sunnis, who had once led that country.

D r a f t

In other words, that ruling elite in Saudi Arabia is hoping to assuage the extreme bitterness the Arab Sunnis of Iraq feel towards it. Part of that would be to get closer to Syria and pay it off (one-and-the-same - - see below.) Another part would be to focus Arab Sunni anger on Iran; hence the attention given any anti-Iran statement by an Iraqi Sunni politician (and sometimes a Shia politician - - all likely on Saudi Arabia’s payroll) on the pages of newspapers which likely get their money from Saudi intelligence - -e.g., al-Sharq al-Awsat.

The Arab Sunnis of Iraq saw, as all Arabs had, that the Saudi ruling elite had partnered with the Israel-Anchored Idiots - -and with Israel itself; note the references to suspected visits by Bandar bin Sultan to Israel during the process of dismemberment of Arab Iraq- - to dismember their country and disenfranchise them. It matters little that that wasn’t what the Saudi ruling elite had wished for beyond its cooperation with the Israel-Anchored Idiots on the invasion itself; that this in fact happened because an entire army of Israel-Diaspora operatives of the American invading armies had descended on Arab Iraq and had called the shots; that the Saudi ruling elite wasn’t the one to have called these. To the disenfranchised Iraqi Sunnis, this means diddle squat; such should’ve been foreseen by the Saudi ruling elite since these Israeli Diaspora operatives have for a long time ruled the roost in the United States when it had come to Iraq, the Arab nation, and the Muslim World.

Hence: the high likelihood of revanchism.

D r a f t

But containing revanchism wouldn’t have been necessary had the Israel-Anchored Idiots been victorious. They haven’t. If anything, it’s retrenchment writ large. This realization likely began much earlier. The Saudi ruling elite could see that, under Crusader and Bald Samson, the Israel-Anchored (Harmful) Idiots had made the Utmost Effort - - gargantuan, really - - the United States can make to re-shape the Arab part of the Highway to Central Asia - - the Project where the Diaspora Boys had not seen the deep systemic power vacuum trap awaiting us on that Highway Project; we fell right in.

Yet, the Arab part of the Highway is now more dangerous to the Saudi ruling elite than what had existed pre-invasion. For such a Huge Effort to gather such dangerous results was quite telling to all, including the Saudi ruling elite.

Worse of all for the Saudi ruling elite: The Effort was so Huge that it’ unlikely - - nearly impossible following our national bankruptcy - - that it can be repeated or completed in that elite’s lifetime. Things now are crystal clear: From the time of the Diaspora Boys’ Iraq fiasco and on, it’s got to be Retrenchment. What words or acts are said or made to the contrary are silly attempts to conceal Retrenchment (unless Inflation - -see prior post) or attempts to obtain a better stake/bargaining position for those who had relied on Israeli Crowd’s Idiocy. The mode now is to delay the Inevitable. The Saudis must’ve assessed that much.

D r a f t

WHAT THE IRAQI ARAB SUNNIS HAD WITNESSED: THE SAUDI GOVERNMENT GAVE THE DIASPORA BOYS’ PROJECT ITS FULL SUPPORT

The Saudi rulers had given the Diaspora Boys’ Project their Full Support. (These had coaxed them into unwavering obedience, using against them the Saudis’ pre-September11 nonchalance towards bin Laden and al-Qaeda.) As part of its recruitment for the Diaspora Boys-inspired Iraq Project, the Saudi ruling elite gave the keys of the Kingdom’s foreign policy to Bandar bin Sultan, a seeming Extension of the Harmful Idiots and of the Diaspora Boys. (The Iraqi Arab Sunnis certainly remember the photo of him sitting by Crusader on the eve of their country’s invasion.) Under Mr. Bandar, Saudi Arabia launched on a Complementary Effort to help out in the construction of the Highway.

Part of that Complementary Effort was to put to use the Kingdom’s expertise (that’s how the Israel Boys see things) in the Arab nation to de-stabilize Syria along sectarian lines. Divide-and-conquer.

D r a f t

In the midst of that Complementary Effort, the Saudi ruling elite could see that the preliminary results of that part of the Idiots-Israeli Diaspora Boys’ Project that’s most pertinent to that elite - - about the future political shape of the Iraqi Plantation - - were earth-shaking to that elite’s permanence, simply horrendous. And that wasn’t because the Jewish Boys were going after the Kingdom itself, threatening to dismember it, which they earlier had; it was because Iran had now become nearer, with an Arab population to represent it - - Iraq’s!

REVANCHISM LEANS ON THIS: THE SAUDI RULING ELITE HAD PUT THE ARAB SUNNIS OF IRAQ TO SAUDI USE AGAINST IRAN - -THEN SCREWED THEM!

The Kingdom earlier had defeated the Islamic Republic by putting to use the Arab Iraqi Sunnis (the eight-year war.) As a result, the Saudis had contained that Republic. Accordingly, the Saudi government had been able to scuttle the possibility of the spread of the Islamic Revolution. When the Diaspora Boys got in on the act (these can’t help but monopolize anything about the Arab nation and the Muslim World in Washington, D.C.), Iran revived and now unavoidably will play a significant role in the future of the current Iraqi Plantation.

D r a f t

For the revanchists, it matters little that Saddam Hussein and the Baath establishment had fought Iran for their own (Shiite) reasons. What matters for them is that at one time the Arab Sunnis had prevented Iran from getting closer to the Saudi ruling elite - -and other Gulf elite. The payback: The closest ally of the Saudi ruling elite, the Israel-Anchored Idiots, with Saudi elite collusion, disenfranchised the Arab Iraqi Sunnis and dismembered of their country.

In other words, the Arab Sunnis of that country, the real ones - -the Street not the Orangutans who are playing the American Card or those on the Saudi or Idiots’ payroll - - the real Arab Sunnis of Iraq must be so embittered by the Saudi ruling elite having partnered with the Diaspora Boys to dismember their country. To have done that after the Arab Sunnis had fought Iran for eight years, at terrific cost, in good part to protect them!

D r a f t

I can’t imagine that there hasn’t emerged in Iraq a deep streak of revanchism among the Arab Sunnis, not against Iran (which Arab Iraq had defeated when it had been its enemy), but against the Saudis and the Kuwaitis who had partnered up with the Diaspora Boys to disenfranchise the Arab Sunnis of Iraq and dismember the country they had led.

It matters little that the Idiots, Israel-Anchored, are now championing the cause of the Sunnis, to have them included in the political system. The reaction of the revanchists, I would think: Too fucking little, too fucking late. We don’t need some Israel assholes who have disenfranchised us come to our rescue. We know what to do.

Revanchism is real.

(NOTE: Since I haven’t been to Iraq, not being an Israel Diaspora Operative, a Self-hating Arab, or a Self-Hating Arab-American, I have to call on my fiction mind, coupled with the reading of newspapers, to divine how this or that actor feels.)

RAPPROCHEMENT WITH SYRIA IF ONLY TO NEUTRALIZE REVANCHISM AMONG THE ARAB SUNNIS OF IRAQ AND AMONG THE WIDER ARAB SUNNI PUBLIC

That was one compelling reason why the Saudis had drawn closer to Arab Syria. Arab Syria has within its borders a nation of Iraqi Arab Sunnis who had fled Iraq. It’s got a good portion of the leaders too - -the Iraqi Baath. By paying off Arab Syria, Saudi Arabia would hope to neutralize the revanchism of that part of that Arab (Sunni) Iraqi nation found in Syria.

D r a f t

This payoff to Syria would complement the same policy of neutralizing Arab Iraqi Sunni revanchism within the wider Arab Iraqi Sunni public, by putting on the payroll any-and-all Arab Iraqi Sunnis, leaders and public, who haven’t left Iraq. By so doing, the Saudi ruling elite would hope to direct the revanchism of these - -those within Iraq - - against Iran, not the Saudi elite. So now the Saudi ruling elite has two grounds covered:

(1) The Arab Iraqi Sunnis still in Iraq. Aim of Saudi ruling elite: Deflect the revanchism of these by directing their ire against Iran, a relatively easy task since the current state in Plantation Iraq is Shia. Expectation: continued low-intensity civil war within the Sunni Arab population, between those on the Saudi/Idiots’ payroll and those who refuse to be. Once a few who are aghast at the success of the Saudi ruling elite at neutralizing their revanchism leave to Iran, others should follow.

(2) The Arab Iraqi Sunnis in Syria, and the Baath. Aim of Saudi ruling elite: Neutralize the revanchism of these by paying off Syria. The Saudi ruling elite doesn’t expect these to fall in love with it; but it does want Syria to not let these side with Iran against the Saudi ruling elite. Expectation: should Syria tighten the noose around the neck of these to scuttle revanchism against the Saudi Ruling elite, some of these should escape to Iran - -if they can.

Depending on how Syria acts: the Sunni Iraqi opposition might find its voice-and-place not in Syria but in Iran

D r a f t

Another reason to pay off Arab Syria: The revanchism shouldn’t be found only among the Iraqi Arab Sunnis - - but should be prevalent in the wider Arab Street, including among the Saudi Arab public. Paying off Syria likely carries with it the condition that, for instance, Syria should refrain from waging an information war against the Kingdom’s ruling elite, one that would remind the Arab Sunni public of that elite’s role in partnering with the Diaspora Boys to dismember Arab Iraq.

DEFEAT IN LEBANON: IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME THE SAUDI RULING ELITE WOULD TRUST THE SCHEMES OF THE DIASPORA BOYS. NOT.

Defeat in Lebanon was yet another incentive for the Saudi ruling elite to seek out Syria.

In Lebanon, the Saudis had been defeated fair-and-square by Hezbollah. (Remember May 7 --I believe 2008 - - when Hezbollah picked up Hariri’s Sunni Boys, and Jumblatt’s Druze Boys - - all likely funded by Saudi intelligence - - and delivered these to the Lebanese army, while the Saudi Ambassador ran for his life onto a boat to Cyprus, then to the safety of the Kingdom.) The Saudis must still be chafing, not so much from that defeat (which wouldn’t have surprised any non-Israel-obsessed analyst - - though no one could’ve predicted how relatively bloodless the rout had been) but from the fact that they had partaken in the moronic - -and eminently hateful of Arabs and Sunnis - -schemes of the Boys of the Diaspora, so sophomoric and wishful-thinking-laden were those schemes. (The main scheme had been to train Sunni and Druze fighters to attack Hezbollah’s rear after the Idiot’s Bully - - in collusion with the Idiots - - had failed to put a dent in Hezbollah’s armor in 2006, while massacring over 1000 civilians. This reminded me of the miscalculating schemes by the Idiots and their Jordanian and Deuxieme Bureau allies, which had destroyed Lebanon. Nothing much changes, but the existence of this blog !)

D r a f t

Even Hariri himself, and certainly Jumblatt, likely are regretting the trust they had placed in these schemes, in Israel, and in the Boys of its Diaspora. (Hariri should fire any-and-all of his father’s advisors, the unequivocal morons they were.)

A SAUDI ADAPTIVE POLICY

In view of the control Arab Syria had of the exiled Arab Iraqi nation, and of Lebanon - -and in view of the fact that the Idiots shall Retrench, what choice did the Saudi ruling elite have but to improve relations with Syria, and pray that that improvement would help in neutralizing Iraqi Arab Sunni revanchism against it?

To be clear: the rapprochement with Syria had nothing to do with Arab brotherhood. The Saudi ruling elite will turn on Syria, yet again, and buddy up to Israel at the propitious moment for that elite. Consider Turki al-Faisal’s recent handshake with Danny Ayalon; consider Saudi Arabia’s funding of the Palestinian Authority without placing any conditions on Fateh not to become integrated - -directly and through the Idiots - - into the Israeli intelligence establishment, as when Palestinians working for Dahlan, are alleged to have played an integral and disgusting part in the assassination of a fellow Palestinian nationalist - - the Hamas official in Dubai.

D r a f t

Saudi Arabia’s volte face towards Syria, though opportunistic, was a smart and adaptive policy decision for the Saudi ruling elite - -though, in the end, a policy that will extend the pain of the Iraqi Arab Sunni community.

In the end, too, I would think that both Saudi Arabia and Syria are eminently aware of the limitations of the rapprochement.

MR. SAAD AL-HARIRI’S SONG

Kiss, Kiss, Kiss
No longer Damascus-the-Sweet
Shall I miss

A tea I shall have
Together with Bashar
In Gemayyel’s Ashrafiyyeh
Not . . .

But in Souk al-Hamidiyyeh.

Kiss, Kiss, Kiss
No longer Damascus-the-Sweet
Shall I miss

I shall fire my late father’s idiotos
The Israel-hugging meteorites
I’ll replace them with Arab nationalists
Baathists
And Nasserites
Seek them out
At Old Folks’ Homes . . .
Agents of the Idiots need not apply
Nor those of Israel’s Diaspora

And dump, I shall:
Geagea-O
Jumbalaatta Balatta
And that lousy . . . Seniora

Kiss, Kiss, Kiss
No longer Damascus-the-Sweet
Shall I miss
